The Maa Trust, in partnership with Power Learn Project (PLP), is inviting young people across the Maasai Mara ecosystem to express interest in an upcoming digital skills scholarship programme.
This opportunity is designed for young people who want to build practical skills in software development, artificial intelligence and other digital technologies that can open pathways into employment, freelancing, entrepreneurship and the wider digital economy.
At this stage, we are collecting expressions of interest to understand the level of demand, learner profiles and readiness of young people within our beneficiary communities and wider network across the Maasai Mara.

What the scholarship will cover
Successful applicants will undertake a practical, career-focused learning programme delivered by Power Learn Project — building not only technical skills, but the confidence and capabilities to pursue opportunities in the digital economy.
Software & Web Development
Programming fundamentals, web development, and practical application building.
AI & Digital Technology
Artificial Intelligence, emerging digital tools, database and digital technology skills.
Employability & Entrepreneurship
Workplace readiness, freelancing skills, and pathways into the digital economy.
Projects & Community
Practical projects, portfolio development, and access to a wider community of learners and tech professionals.
Who should express interest?
We encourage applications from motivated young people across the Maasai Mara ecosystem.
Age & Location
Young people aged 18 years and above who live within, come from, or are connected to communities across the Maasai Mara ecosystem.
No Prior Experience Needed
You do not need previous experience in technology or software development. Motivation to learn is what matters most.
Ready to Commit
Applicants who can commit time to the programme and are interested in building skills that improve employment, business or income opportunities.
